Jef Alberts Returning to 'Goede tijden, slechte tijden'
Bartho Braat and Laura Selmhorst Also Reprising Roles
RTL 4 announced today that Jef Alberts will be returning to the popular soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden (GTST).
Alberts, who played the role of Rik de Jong from 1990 to 1998, will reprise the role starting in the fall.
Bartho Braat and Laura Selmhorst will also be returning to the show, reprising their roles as Arnie Alberts and Janine Elschot, respectively.
Alberts Excited to Return
"I'm very excited to be returning to GTST," Alberts said. "It's been a long time, but I've always felt a connection to the show and the character of Rik."
Braat and Selmhorst echoed Alberts' excitement, saying they were looking forward to working with the cast and crew again.
Show's Popularity Continues
GTST is one of the most popular soap operas in the Netherlands, with an average of 1.5 million viewers per episode.
The show has been on the air since 1990 and has won numerous awards, including the Golden Televizier-Ring for Best Soap Opera in 1996 and 2001.
