Celtics Jump Out to a 1-0 Lead Over Mavericks

The Boston Celtics have taken an early lead in the 2024 NBA Finals, defeating the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 on Thursday night.

Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 29 points, while Jayson Tatum added 28. Luka Doncic paced the Mavericks with 20 points.

The Celtics led by just four points at halftime, but they broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 32-16.

The win gives the Celtics a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday night in Boston.
