How to Remove Acrylic Nails
Indirect Acetone Method
The most common method for removing acrylic nails is by using acetone. Acetone is a solvent that breaks down the bonds between the acrylic and your natural nails. To use this method, you will need to:
Materials
- Nail polish remover or acetone
- Cotton balls
- Aluminum foil
- Bowl
- Cuticle pusher
Instructions
1. Pour enough nail polish remover or acetone into a bowl to cover your nails. 2. Soak your nails in the acetone for 10-15 minutes, or until the acrylic starts to loosen. 3. Use a cuticle pusher to gently push the acrylic off of your nails. 4. If the acrylic is still stuck, soak your nails for a few more minutes. 5. Once the acrylic is removed, wash your hands and nails with soap and water.
